I was given the honorable title of Miss United Rodeo Association for the rodeo season of 2004. I met and got to work in the arena with Jeff at a few rodeos, the first being Sabetha, KS. It was a three-day performance in some of the worst heat, but Jeff made it a breeze. His off-the-wall, impomptu jokes had all of our sides and cheeks in pain. In life you live, love, lose, and most importantly, you learn. From Jeff I learned that a smile and a little laughter can take you a long ways. As a rodeo queen I was jealous of Jeff's sense of fashion and ablility to pull anything off... The inflatable Elvis suit, the 'Fairy of Wove" costume and skirt, and his cheers he did so well with his 'speech problem.' He was not afraid to push the envelope, and in doing so, he was one of the best 'funny mans' I've ever seen perform. To his family, I cannot express my sorrow for your loss. However, I will keep you in my prayers and think of Jeff often. He will be missed.

Just wanted to let you know that I am thinking about all of you. Jeff was an awesome friend and a pleasure to work with. He did it the "right" way. The rodeo fans and I will miss him dearly.
Sincerely, Blaine Partridge, PRCA Rodeo Announcer North Loup, NE

It will be a lonely ride to Lexington, Kentucky in May of 2007 when i go to announce the kentucky invitational rodeo. You see in 2006 Jeff and I shared the ride to Lexington. lots of time to talk and strengthen a friendship that we have shared for years. I know how proud Jeff was of his wife, Libbi, his girls and his son that at that time was "on the way". He also had lots of rodeo friends ,but spoke most of Steve and Craig. Jeff, you have been called to make the last ride to where the grass is stirrup high lush and green, I know, my friend that your entry fees have been paid ! God, thank you for letting us have Jeff Veteto in our lives, Steve Eli

All the members of the United Rodeo Association feel for you in this time of loss. Our rodeos won't be the same without Jeff and all his costume changes and humor. He added something very special to the rodeos where he performed.
