Who would have thought that last summer when we left Sedalia in shorts, we would have ended up in winter coats in Gilman, Iowa. Boomers was the funnyman that night, and I never would have guessed with everyone shaking in their winter coats that he would do his fairy act...but he did! Now that will be a hard act to follow. Boy was he cold!!!
But, my ultimate favorite memory of Boomers will be that no matter how many times I saw the cheerleader act, he always made me laugh! I absolutely loved how he would whip his head to show his cheer enthusiasm. Thank you for that Boomers!
In closing, the cowboy community is such a great community. You don't realize sometimes how you were touched by someone in that family until they are gone. My only hope is that we show a little bit more love and respect for eachother while they are here. And to his wife and family, you have been blessed by a great comedian. I can only hope that this Christmas finds your hearts eased by the well wishes of the rodeo community.
You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I'm sorry to hear aout Jeff. I didn't know him. As a fan of all rodeos, It is hard to see or hear of a losing a loved one so young and so soon. I lost a cousin at 29 yrs. of age to cancer, he liked to ride and rope also. I'll keep ya'll in my prayers. Sincerely, Jennifer Kyle (Kentucky)
