The last time I saw Jeff, he is was working a rodeo in Wisconsin and was making some Green Bay Packer jokes. I went up to him and told him that if he expected to leave town with no broken legs that he better cool it. He gave me a big grin back and said he wasn't worried. At that same rodeo I had a little guy with me that wanted to meet the rodeo clown - That little guy didn't know Jeff from Flint Rasmusson but he did know how well he was treated when he got to meet Jeff - a scene that was repeated hundreds of times I'm sure thru Jeff's career.
In a sport where sometimes some of the players tend to get big egos even at an early stage, Jeff stayed the same and never thought he was any better than anyone else and that may be his legacy.
My best wishes to his family - Time does heal but if any of the family ever needs to remember what type of guy Jeff was, just talk to any of his legion of fans and friends as they all will have a story to tell.

We miss you friend.

Wow, It's hard to believe that he's gone. It's wonderfull to see that he has so many friends. He's left his mark on the world. I know that he enjoyed his work (if that's what you want to call it)as a clown and I'm going to rember him that way. We loved him then and were going to always love him now and forever. Our prayers go out to the rest of the family and the cowboys that he loved.

I have known Jeff for most of his life. I work for his parents. It is impossible to say how your thought and prayer warm my heart. It is great to see how many lives he has touched and the joy he brought to everyone that knew him. Thank you everyone for all that you have done to make this all a little easer. God had a plan and I hope we could all find our plan and ride it like Jeff did. GOD BESS YOU ALL

Hello all and especially the family of Jeff Veteto. I am Shawn "Boom Boom" Thompson's wife. Being the wife of a Rodeo Clown is not always easy especially with small children at home. We have two little ones ourselves. Libbi I almost lost Shawn in 2002 to Stage 4 cancer and for what ever reason God had other plans and we live everyday knowing that we have a purpose for living. I just read all the nice things that the rodeo family has written and I hope that you can see that God's plan for Jeff has been fullfilled. It is hard to understand in the moment what God's plan is for you now but I know you will find it. Depend on Him now to help you raise Jeff's kids in a way that you know Jeff would want you to.
My husband respected Jeff for his no nonsense approach to being a funnyman.
We'll be going down the rodeo road in 2007 in memory of Jeff "Boomers" Veteto.
