Our History

Although Chad Berger Bucking Bulls was established in 2003 it really got its start in the early 1960s . Chad’s father, well known bull breeder and stock contractor, Joe began buying bulls for Chad and his brother, Fred, to ride. By the mid-60’s Joe had enough to start supplying smaller events, and the business took off from there. Chad enjoyed working with his father and loved the bucking bull business. The family produced many great bucking bulls including what many consider to be one of the greatest bulls ever, "Little Yellow Jacket".

In 2003 Chad, with the support of his entire family, started his own company, Chad Berger Bucking Bulls. From the word go it has been a family affair with everyone playing an important role in the overall success. Wife, Sarah, takes on the challenge of the yearly PBR Challenger Tour event the company produces. Daughter, Lacey, and son, John, are both active in the hands on work with the bulls. Youngest daughter, Sadie, has taken on promotional duties maintaining the companies presence on the Internet. They also employ drivers and flankmen, Brandan Sedler and Daniel Croker.

By 2006 Chad had put together a herd of bulls worthy of earning third place in the standings for stock contractor of the year for the PBR. Then in 2007 when the winner was announced it was Chad Berger Bucking Bulls and decades of hard work paid off in the most prestigious award a stock contractor can earn. 2008 was nothing short of 2007 and Chad, along with partner Clay Struve won the award for the second year in a row. Chad may have the gold buckle but he was quick to point out that winning the award had been a team effort. A team he is extremely proud of.
