Christians revive Rodeo Bible camp
[May 9, 2008] For the first time in two years, kids and horses will converge on New Underwood this June to learn more about the sport of rodeo and the Bible.
 
Clearlake boy set for world finals in bull riding
[Apr. 22, 2008] Seven-year-old Raymond Mayo is currently seeking sponsorship for competition in the Young Bull Riders 2008 World Finals, to be held in Texas this coming August. Mayo, a Pomo Elementary School student, was invited to the competition on a wildcard draw and is looking forward to competing for the world title.
 
Cheyenne Watson wins second rodeo buckle
[Mar. 12, 2008] Eight-year-old Cheyenne Watson, of Leesburg, grabbed her second buckle in her young rodeo career this past November. She started rodeoing at the age of 4, where she walked away as the girls champion sheep rider, in her first rodeo.
 
Ranch Rodeo clinic, March 1
[Feb. 27, 2008] The Texas Youth Ranch Rodeo Association (TYRRA) will be conducting clinics to educate and assist in learning more about the organization. This is the first year that the TYRRA has felt a need to conduct such clinics due to the high growth rate that the organization is facing.
 
Couple grateful for support shown at benefit rodeo
[Jan. 27, 2008] Becky Jackson of Alma, Ark., had a special reason to attend the Youth Bull Riding event Saturday night at the Muskogee Fairgrounds Arena. The evening was a fund-raiser and tribute to Becky's son, 16-year-old Peyton, who was killed by a bull during YBR competition here two weeks ago.
 
Benefit planned for family of Peyton Jackson
[Jan. 24, 2008] A benefit for the family of a deceased Alma teen will be held this weekend at the same site where he lost his life in a bullriding accident. Both a silent and live auction will be held Saturday during a Youth Bull Riding Association rodeo at Muskogee Fairgrounds Arena in Muskogee, Okla. The rodeo is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m.
 
Norco 11-year-old is bull-riding champ
[Jan. 23, 2008] Aaron Williams, 11, of Norco sure does make it look easy. Aaron walked away with a first-place honor at the National Jr. Bullriders Finals held in Shawnee, Okla.
 
Peyton D. Jackson, 16, dies in bull riding accident

Rodeo teaches local kids the ropes

Chilton County will host the Alabama Junior Rodeo Association’s fall rodeo for the second consecutive year next weekend.
[Oct. 21, 2007] The two-day event will begin Saturday, Oct. 27 at 9 a.m. and will last for most of the day. Activities will resume Sunday, Oct. 28 at 10 a.m. and will be preceded by a “cowboy church service” at 9.

At 8, rodeo rider grabs life by the horns
[Oct. 17, 2007] The next great American bull rider is training in the hills of Perkiomenville, and his name is Boot-T-Boot. He is an 8-year-old boy who was born in West Philadelphia, and he'll be showing off his skills next weekend in an exhibition at the third annual Philadelphia Rodeo & Fall Festival at the Devon Horse Show grounds, a benefit event for the NephCure Foundation in Berwyn, which raises money to fight kidney diseases.
 
Junior Rodeo champ strikes again
[Oct. 8, 2007] Rodeo is life for young Lemitar cowboy Garrett Jacobs. You can't make it much simpler than that. He practices every day and it shows when it comes time to rodeo.

Garrett, age 9, competed in the New Mexico Junior Rodeo Association Championships in Gallup Sept. 21-22. He won first place in breakaway roping, step-down roping, calf riding and goat tying to walk away as the 2007 NMJRA Champion.
 
Miniature cowgirls and cowboys: Junior Rodeo big draw at Shiprock Navajo Fair
[Oct. 5, 2007] When it came to size, Springsky Chee's horse had her by about 1,000 pounds. At age 3 and weighing in at 30 pounds, Springsky was the youngest and lightest contestant in the 96th Shiprock Navajo Fair Junior Rodeo.
