Worth, Texas - - Presented by Championship Bull Riding, the "Biggest Youth Bull Riding in History" kicked off today at the Will Rogers Coliseum in Ft. Worth, Texas. 320 youth descended upon Cowtown to compete for a record $15,000 added money. Each category winner of round one received a Hy O Silver buckle and a check for their efforts. Late announcer’s memory rides on at youth rodeo[Jul. 14, 2009] The rodeo announcer had worked the microphone for each of the previous 16 years of the youth rodeo and was scheduled to handle the chores again this year. But on May 20, McGee was struck by a pickup while mowing at his home near Valliant. The 47-year-old was thrown from the mower and died from massive injuries.
