Robert Todd Crase, known to all as Todd, will be inducted into the Iowa High School Rodeo Hall of Fame on Sunday, June 15th. The induction ceremony will be a part of the Iowa High School Rodeo State Finals in Fort Madison, Iowa. Todd has been actively involved in Iowa rodeo literally since he was 3 days old and attending his first AKSARBEN Rodeo. As a child Todd continued to attend events with his father and began competing in youth rodeo as soon as he was old enough. He won his first All-Around Cowboy Championship title at the National Little Britches Rodeo in Maryville, MO in 1977. He competed in the Iowa High School Rodeo Association from 1977 through 1982 representing Winterset High School. Todd was a state qualifier for the National High School Rodeo Finals from 1978 through 1982. His senior year Todd was ranked 5th in the nation for saddle bronc riding at the National High School Rodeo Finals. Todd followed his years in high school rodeo with an outstanding showing in college rodeo winning a gold buckle for the national team championship in 1985 while representing Southwest Oklahoma State University. Todd has continued over the years to advance from competitor to producer and as a producer has not only lent his support to Iowa High School Rodeo but has been instrumental in assisting several young people in their quest for the gold in high school rodeo. Just to name a few would be Jimmy Twedt, Allen Dessel and the late Dalton Baumann who began his career as part of the White Buffalo Tribe.
