California rodeo instructor can do more than just teach bronc riding
[Jan. 29, 2010] For Teddy Athan, it pays to be a rodeo coach in more ways than one.

Athan constantly drills his students at West Hills Community College on the fundamentals of bareback riding. And then, he puts his words into practice on the national pro circuit.

On Wednesday night at the Fort Worth Stock Show Rodeo, Athan methodically spurred a bronc named Big City for 84 points and moved into second place in the second round as Cowtown’s traditional rodeo concluded its eighth of 30 performances at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum.
