Funeral services for Riley Cole Key (April 15, 1991 - June 27, 2009) , of Ledbetter, Texas are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 29, 2009 at the Dube Family Cemetery in Giddings, Texas with Rev. Paul Bohot officiating. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 28, 2009 at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Carmine, Texas.

Riley passed away unexpectedly as a result of an automobile accident in Washington County early Saturday morning.

Riley Cole Key was born on April 15, 1991 in Brenham, Texas to Kenneth David & Tammy (Dube) Key. He graduated in May from Round Top-Carmine High School and planned to attend Blinn College in College Station. Riley loved hunting and was an accomplished team roper.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jack Dube.

Riley is survived by his parents, Tammy & Brian Fischer of Ledbetter and David & Josey Key of Caldwell; 2 brothers, Kooper Key of Caldwell and Jack Fischer of Ledbetter; grandparents, Peggy Dube of Giddings, Kenneth & Linda Key of Caldwell and Paul & Jolene Fischer of Giddings; great grandmothers, Irene Fischer and Gertrude Lorenz both of Giddings; aunts & uncles, Jackie & Lane Jatzlau of Giddings, David & Gina Fischer of Giddings, Jason & Chrissy Fischer of New Braunfels and Chris & Mark Walker of Caldwell as well as numerous other relatives and many friends.

 

Memorials may be made to the Riley Key Scholarship Fund at Classic Bank, P.O. Box 820, Giddings, Texas 78942.
