Barrel racing champion reveals tragic loss[Jul. 13, 2009] Calgary Herald publisher Malcolm Kirk presents barrelracer Tammy Key-Fischer of Ledbetter, Texas, with a bronze statue after she won the $100,000 prize on Sunday at the Calgary Stampede.
Rodeo Horse Stolen & Abused[Jul. 10, 2009] It's one of the most despicable crimes a person could do to an animal: abuse it. Someone stole a top notch professional rodeo horse in Ft. Pierre last weekend and did just that. Now its owner wants those responsible brought to justice.
Female bull rider takes sport by horns[Jan. 8, 2009] DeeDee Crawford doesn't find riding a 2,000-pound bull all that out of the ordinary for a young woman.
"I rode my first steer when I was 5, so I guess I was bound to move onto something bigger," Crawford said with a laugh. "When I was a kid, I would ride any wild pony or goat or whatever Daddy would bring home to the farm."

The Million Dollar Tour will feature a new two-stage playoff format that will heighten the drama of the championship chase.
Ride' em, cowgirl[Nov. 20, 2008] Female rodeo stars test their skills at national finals in Tulsa - In 9.9 seconds, Jackie Jo Adams shot across an arena on horseback, launched a lasso over a calf, jumped from her saddle and tied up the calf's legs - fast by any standard.
The field is set for the 50th Wrangler National Finals Rodeo[Nov. 11, 2008] With the Wrangler ProRodeo Tour Championship presented by Texas Stampede in Dallas this past weekend in the books the final qualifying event for the 2008 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo has placed its stamp on this year's field of contenders. As Dallas closed its doors the contestants began packing for Las Vegas where from November 4th - 13th in ten rounds of heated competition they will compete for the coveted world titles and the gold buckle that comes with it.
