The following is from the WPRA -

THE VERDICT IS IN!... A Colorado Springs jury today returned a $6,875,000 verdict in favor of the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association and against the Professional Rodeo Cowboy’s Association on the WPRA’s claims of misappropriation of business value and breach of fiduciary duty. The WPRA is very pleased with the jury’s award. It believes this will allow the oldest women’s professional sports organization in America to rebuild and continue its service to women in professional barrel racing and rode.

Rodeo Attitude has been told that the PRCA will have a press release shortly and we will post it here. We have found the following quote from www.gazzette.com:

Quote - In an e-mailed statement, PRCA attorney Lawrence Treece said, “We are obviously disappointed in the verdict but respect the jury’s decision. We do not believe the verdict will withstand an appeal and intend to appeal it.”
