MILWAUKEE, Wis. (March 30, 2007) - The Professional Bull Riders’ (PBR) Enterprise Tour made its first visit to Milwaukee, Wisconsin this past weekend for an energetic two-day event (March 23-24). Amongst the gladiators of the PBR, hometown cowboy Jon Singleton of Rochester, WI covered two bulls Friday evening earning 87.50 points for both his efforts. Singleton was the only rider to cover two bulls for the weekend, and collected his first PBR Enterprise Tour victory for 2007 and received $6, 299.73 in earnings.
On Friday evening several admired cowboys made appearances. Team Enterprise rider, Colby Yates, Mexico’s Gerardo Venegas and from Coleman, TX the only rider to receive a score aboard the infamous bull Little Yellow Jacket not once but twice, Cory McFadden. These three riders evenings were halted with unsuccessful rides in the long-go round section.
Riders checking in for Saturday’s event: Jack Daniel’s Cory Rasch and his brother Evan Rasch. Both men fell short of the 8 second buzzer in the long-go round section.
Express Ranches, Corey Navarre covered his long-go round bull for 83.50 points but did not capture a ride in the short-go round.
Craig Sasse of St. Peter, IL rode his bull for 84.50 points in the long-go round but fell short of earning a score in the short-go round.
Matt Pojanowski of Woodbury, MN received a score 84.50 points for his efforts in the long-go round, however Pojanowski did not make the 8 second mark in the short-go round.
B & W Hitches cowboy, Dusty LaBeth covered his long-go round bull for 86 points. LaBeth did not receive a score in the short-go round but captured an overall fourth place finish at the event, earning $1,730.39.
Brazil’s Helton Barbosa covered his long-go round bull for a point score of 85.50 but was unsuccessful in the short-go round. Barbosa captured a sixth place finish, earning $677.01.
Mooreland, OK cowboy, Bowdy Peach captured an 85 point ride in the long-go round, but did not make the whistle in the short-go round. Peach captured a seventh place finish, earning $359.86.
Among the bull favorites, Butcher/Davidson’s bull Shallow Hal increased his buck-off percentage to 87.5 percent for the 2007 season by bucking off riders both Friday and Saturday night. Shallow Hal also increased his overall career buck-off percentage to 88.9 percent.
