Harter Returns to Texas With Riding on His Mind
[Jan. 29, 2009] FORT WORTH - After winning the saddle bronc riding title at the National Western Stock Show Rodeo in Denver, Bradley Harter could afford to take a break.

However, that is not the Weatherford, Texas, resident’s style. He earned over $12,000 there last Sunday. Then, he made the 750-mile trip to compete here on Monday. That was his first of three competitions in the Will Rogers Coliseum. He came back for his second ride on Wednesday night and scored 79 points on Frontier Rodeo’s Tipped Off. By Lauranne Smith
 
Shazam Shiozawa Moved to Top of Fort Worth Leader Board
[Jan. 28, 2009] FORT WORTH - Rodeo fans missed Matt Shiozawa at last year’s Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (NFR).

The Chubbock, Idaho, tie-down roper is using the Fort Worth Stock Show Rodeo to make a bid for the 2009 edition of rodeo’s championship event. Shiozawa leads the second round of competition with an 8.6-second run. That equaled his first round time and gave him the over-all lead with a total of 17.2 seconds on two runs. By Lauranne Smith

[Jan. 27, 2009] FORT WORTH. - Four years ago J.W. Harris of May, Texas won the Xtreme Bull Riding here. At the time Harris was 19, not very well known and scrapping his way from rodeo to rodeo. Oklahoma Bull Rider Takes Dickies Invitational Title!!!
[Jan. 25, 2009] The Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) top 45 bull riders in the world took over Dallas, Texas for two-action packed performances. The Dickies Invitational, stop #5 on the prestigious Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS), showcased the best riders and bulls as they invaded the American Airlines Center. In the end, Ryan Dirteater (Hulbert, Okla.) left the Lone Star State victorious after totaling 259.75 points on three bulls. Dirteater pocketed a check for $49,244.
 
Two-Time World Champ and Young Gun Split First Round in Dallas PBR!
[Jan. 25, 2009] Dallas, TX - January 24, 2009 - The 2009 Dickies Invitational brought the best bull riders in the world to Dallas’ American Airlines Center. Two-time World Champion Chris Shivers (Jonesville, La.) and young gun Ryan Dirteater (Hulbert, Okla.) split first and second place after scoring 89 points during round one of the fifth Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) event of 2009. Competition Underway at Fort Worth Stock Show Rodeo
[Jan. 24, 2009] FORT WORTH. TX - The rodeo at the 113th Fort Worth Stock Show Rodeo kicked off Friday night with second generation cowboys setting top scores and fast times.

One of those cowboys is Kaycee Feild from Elk Ridge, Utah. He and Jared Keylon from Fort Scott, Kan., tied for the lead in the bareback riding at 82 points each. Feild, who is the son of world champion Lewis Feild, rode the horse from Pete Carr Pro Rodeo named Real Deal. Keylon was also on a Carr horse, Cool Runnings. By Lauranne Smith

The Utopia, Texas, saddle bronc rider would’ve been much more comfortable in the middle of nasty bucking horses for 10 rough days in Las Vegas, home of ProRodeo's championship.
