Championship Bull Riding Unveils New Concept

Fort Worth, Texas (July 23, 2009)- Today Championship Bull Riding (CBR) unveiled a new concept in stock competition- the Bull Team Challenge. The Challenge is formulated to allow stock contractors to enter bulls of any age and pedigree to compete for significant prize money in selected CBR events.
The competition will consist of a total of ten teams per event in a three-bull team format with bulls that meet the strict standards of CBR President Tuff Hedeman. Two of the three bulls will first buck in the long round of competition and one will buck in the short for a combined team score as determined by four judges. Then the number of seconds the bull was ridden by the CBR Rider will be added to the four judges total bull scores to determine the bull’s final score. ALL entry fee money will be paid back with the Bull Team Challenge Champion pocketing $ 18,000!! The remaining Top 4 Teams, the Rank Bull and High Marked Ride Bull will earn a check as well.
“This is a revolutionary concept,” stated Tuff Hedeman. “It is set up to where everyone who enters has the opportunity to win. Plus this will be very enjoyable and adds an extra element of entertainment for everyone including the fans.”
The program will debut at the upcoming Bossier City, LA event August 22. St Louis, MO and Lubbock, TX are also slated to host similar events this year. Plans for 2010 include 6 events plus a Bull Team Challenge Finals.
“This gives stock contractors the opportunity to win a lot of money. The added benefit is the Bull Team Challenge will be highlighted during our nationally televised show on GAC, so the bulls and their owners will get a lot of television exposure,” remarked CBR CEO Wes Bruce.
There will be more exciting news on this concept to be released at a later date. Keep updated on all CBR news at www.cbrbull.com <http://www.cbrbull.com> . Also pick up the next issue of the Short Round Magazine, the official publication of the CBR, for a more in depth look at the CBR Bull Team Challenge.
