[Jun. 21, 2007] From the time he was a 13-year-old hosting a radio show in Durham, N.C., John D. Loudermilk has loved writing, playing and performing songs.

He’s penned numerous classics in both country and pop over his exceptional career, one that’s earned him several honors, including election to the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1976. On Saturday Loudermilk will be the latest performer celebrated in the quarterly series “Poets and Prophets: Legendary Country Songwriters: at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
