Rodeo Horse Stolen & Abused[Jul. 10, 2009] It's one of the most despicable crimes a person could do to an animal: abuse it. Someone stole a top notch professional rodeo horse in Ft. Pierre last weekend and did just that. Now its owner wants those responsible brought to justice.
90th Belle Fourche Round Up Closes With a Bang[Jul. 4, 2009] BELLE FOURCHE, S.D. --- After two nights of bulls besting cowboys, the July 4th performance of the Belle Fourche Round Up finally saw two scores, and they both won in their home state of South Dakota.
Rorey Maier from Timber Lake, left here atop the leaderboard with an 89-point effort aboard DH&T Rodeo’s Surefire. It was worth $2,559 that will count towards Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association world standings and Badlands Circuit points. Tater Hins from Huron, was close behind with an 85 on Powder River Rodeo’s Fired Up. He got $1,962. Because these men were the only two to ride, they also got to split the rest of the prize money. The additional $2,004 doesn’t count in the standings, but will certainly help their checkbooks.
Days of '76 Rodeo to Feature Clown Reunion[Jun. 22, 2009] DEADWOOD (6/22/2009) – The laugh-getters and bullfighters of yesteryear are gathering for their annual reunion during the 2009 Days of ’76 events in Deadwood, July 21-25. Rodeo clowns from 14 states will gather in Deadwood to be honored for their years in the arena entertaining rodeo audiences and saving bull riders from serious injury.

Jacks fare well in own rodeo[Apr. 9, 2009] The SDSU Jackrabbits started the spring rodeo season in fine fashion, as the women picked up a second and first in the team portions of the Jackrabbit Stampede Rodeo in Brookings last weekend. The men also had a good showing, placing second and third in the two rodeos.

15th Annual Coyote Country Rodeo Club Bull-a-Rama Brings Excitement to Vermillion, SD[Aug. 25, 2008] The Extreme Bullriding Tour brought the riders of the National Federation of Professional Bullriders (NFPB) and the Bullriders of America (BOA) to Vermillion, South Dakota on Saturday August 23rd. Vermillion is rich in rodeo history at one time hosting up to 5 rodeos a year and even hosting the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Finals. This weekend they celebrated their 15th Annual Coyote Country Rodeo Club Bull-a-Rama with a three day celebration that started with a special Unloading of the Bulls of Double S Bull Company, Sidney, IA and a Hog Roast.
