More than 500 student competitors from 20-plus colleges and universities are expected to participate. The Oklahoma-born calf roper has been competing since he was 6 years old and rodeo was a way of life thanks to the influence of his father and brother.
White, at 28, became an International Professional Rodeo Association World Champion calf roper and has been working to get back to that same level of success.
