NMSU women's rodeo team rides to first place[Nov. 1, 2007] The New Mexico State University women's rodeo team is rounding up more awards. They placed first overall with a lead of 690 points at the Dine College National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association Rodeo held in Tsaile, Ariz., Oct. 26-27.

Junior Rodeo champ strikes again[Oct. 8, 2007] Rodeo is life for young Lemitar cowboy Garrett Jacobs. You can't make it much simpler than that. He practices every day and it shows when it comes time to rodeo.
Garrett, age 9, competed in the New Mexico Junior Rodeo Association Championships in Gallup Sept. 21-22. He won first place in breakaway roping, step-down roping, calf riding and goat tying to walk away as the 2007 NMJRA Champion.

NM Gov. Announces Plan to Deal with Bovine TB in New Mexico's Curry County[Jun. 16, 2007] Governor Bill Richardson announced that the state is taking aggressive action to minimize the impact of a dairy cattle herd in Curry County that has been diagnosed as having bovine Tuberculosis. Bovine TB is a bacterial disease that affects primarily the upper respiratory tract of cattle.
Horse Springs Rodeo Star Credits God For His Talent[May 5, 2007] - Johnny Salvo of Horse Springs (New Mexico) has been named to the Wrangler High School All Star Rodeo Team by leaders of the National High School Rodeo Association, the oldest youth rodeo organization in America.
Statewide equestrian facility to be in southeast Albuquerque[Dec. 19, 2006] Southeast Albuquerque will be the home of a statewide equestrian and rodeo facility.
Governor Richardson announced Tuesday that the 7,000-seat indoor arena, smaller outdoor arena and stables will be located on 200 acres near the Journal Pavilion.
