2008 Professional Bull Riders World Finals Kicks Off with Party at Fremont Street Experience!!!
[Oct. 25, 2008] The world's best bull riders have been competing week in and week out on the elite 2008 Built Ford Tough Series presented by Wrangler (BFTS), all riding for a chance to qualify for the lucrative 2008 Built Ford Tough World Finals presented by Wrangler. This year, the PBR World Finals celebrates its 15th Anniversary in Las Vegas and PBR is jump-starting the two weekend event with a bang at the 2008 Kick-Off Party on Fremont Street Experience on Thursday, October 30. The riders who will be competing for the coveted $1,000,000 World Championship title will be introduced and then will "draft" the bull they will go head-to-head with during the 1st Round of the 2008 World Finals. Horses fine, one rider injured in Reno Rodeo collision
[Jun. 26, 2008] The start of the Reno Rodeo was delayed for about 15 minutes tonight when the horses of two members of the Reno Rodeo Flag Girls Drill Team collided in the middle of the arena.

 

Rhonda Barnes and Sherry Davis were knocked from their horses and Davis's horse, Love, also went down.

After several minutes, Davis was able to get to her feet.

[Jun. 26, 2008] RENO — They range in age from 14 to the mid-50s, and an evening performance at the Reno Rodeo never starts without them. Meet the 60 women — all volunteers — who make up the drill and flag team. It’s a labor of love, and has to be, because it’s a lot of work for no pay.
 
Corkill partners up for success
[Jun. 26, 2008] RENO — You could say that Fallon’s Jade Corkill has been blessed with a good roping partners.
Corkill turned professional his senior year of high school to team with Matt Tyler, and ended up being named the PRCA Rookie of the Year and nearly qualifying for the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.
 
Reno Rodeo: Lewis is working way to nationals
[Jun. 26, 2008] The Hereford, Texas, cowboy had it working Wednesday night at the Reno Rodeo, roping and tying his calf in 9.5 seconds to the delight of the crowd of 6,990 at the Reno Rodeo Arena.
 
Etbauer at top of leaderboard after fall
[Jun. 25, 2008] With rodeo legend Larry Mahan sitting horseback inside the Reno Rodeo Arena Tuesday night, Billy Etbauer added another chapter to his own legend.

 

Etbauer, a five-time world and two-time Reno Rodeo saddle bronc champion, moved to the top of the leaderboard at the 89th Reno Rodeo with an 89-point ride on Flying Five Rodeo Company's bronc that was vintage Bronco Billy, much to the delight of the sold-out crowd of 8,129 on Family Night.

Harris, DeMoss return from Africa to turn in top scores at the Reno Rodeo on Sunday
[Jun. 23, 2008] Chris Harris was the top score of the night in the bareback riding at the 89th annual Reno Rodeo with a score of 82 points on Rosser Rodeo’s Bay Lady. Harris of Itasca, Texas, moved to second in the first round at the Reno Rodeo just days after returning from a special roughstock event in Calulo, Angolo, Africa. He and saddle bronc rider Cody DeMoss returned victorious from Africa on Friday, June 20 and they both competed in Reno on Sunday night, June 22 turning in the highest scores in their respective events. Wrangler ProRodeo Tour and Dodge Xtreme Bulls Come to Reno. NV
[Jun. 16, 2008] For the ninth consecutive year, the Reno (Nev.) Rodeo is a highlighted stop on the Wrangler ProRodeo Tour. The event, called the "Wildest, Richest Rodeo in the West," puts a charge into the summer rodeo season and resumes the Wrangler ProRodeo Tour after its last event nearly one month ago in Redding, Calif. The Reno Rodeo is annually one of the PRCA’s most prestigious and lucrative events, offering more than $500,000 in prize money and a coveted set of silver spurs to each event’s average champion.
