[Aug. 8, 2009] he Extreme Bullriding Tour made its first visit to the Thayer County Fair on August 7. The fair which is located in Deshler, NE was the third stop for the tour during one of the busiest weeks of the tour. Many of the riders have been following along with the tour for the four stops in five days adding to the excitement at each stop as they reveal in the competition as well as the fellowship between riders and fans. First bullriding challenge deemed a success
[Jun. 22, 2009] Chase County fair board members deemed their first ever Chase County Bullriding Challenge held Saturday night at the fairgrounds a big success.
Board members are already looking at bringing the event back next summer.
Saturday night’s event drew an estimated crowd of around 1,000 people.
Bullriding fans were treated to a first-class show with a total of 29 cowboys challenging the bulls for superiority.
In many cases, the bulls proved the victor but several cowboys put up some mighty good scores by winning the eight-second battle. By Russ Pankonin
