Lancaster Event Center
You’ve heard the term “standing room only” well at the Extreme Bullriding Tour stop at Fillmore County Fair, Geneva , NE; this term took on new meaning.  The turn out was so good that “packed” may be the right term.  This was the second year for the Tour to visit the fair.  Last year’s event was voted by the members of the Bullriders of America as the New Event of the Year and the Outdoor Event of the Year.  The size of the crowd and the roster of top bull riders proves that if you put on a first-class event people return.  People will be talking about this one for the next year.

Award-winning announcer, Brandon McLagan, Lone Jack, MO and barrelman, Lance Mcilvain, Mesquite , TX , were full of jokes and surprises to fill the moments between rides.  Bullfighters, Any Thompson, Auburn , IA , and Jeremy Muntz, Denton , NE , did an excellent job of showcasing their skills going one on one with the bulls in the constant quest to assure the riders safety.

Curt Check was the top rider of the night.  He was one of two men able to cover both his bulls giving him a final score of 169 on two.  His ride in the short-go was also the high score ride of the night with a score of 87.  The 16 seconds of riding earned him a nice day’s wages of $1909.71.  The other man to ride both bulls was Ryan Lattau with a score of 167.  The Bull of the Event was # 328 Sea Bass.  Sea Bass was matched with 2X Extreme Bullriding Tour champion, Jimmy Twedt, in the short-go and even with being one of the top riders there Jimmy was unable to make the buzzer on the outstanding bull athlete.

Following the event the bulls got pampered while the rest enjoyed dancing to the music of Nebraska ’s own Mark Keaton and Aces High Band.  A memorable ending for a memorable day!

Curt Check 169 $1,909.71
