The keyword Friday, April 3rd, at the Federation Finals was bullfighters. Bullfighters Bradon Brazier, Jeremy Muntz, and Andy Thmpson had a very busy day at the office. The riders were in top form but the bulls were completely on their game and it seemed ride after ride the bullfighters were jumping in to protect a downed rider. One rider commented that the bullfighters were giving a class on protection bullfighting with the excellent job they were doing. Then in an instant bullfighter Andy Thompson stepped in to protect a rider and took a hard hit. Up and down he went and it was clear he had been injured. Although he left the arena and the event continued behind the chutes paramedics were preparing Andy for transportation to the hospital. As the ambulance left to take Andy for evaluation in the arena Brandon and Jeremy never missed a step as they continued to lay it all on the line for the riders. Is it any wonder the respect the riders have for these men. (Note - Saturday morning doctors determined Andy had fractured his C6. No surgery was needed and he will be in a tall neck brace for a while. He was to be released later today - Saturday)

As the night ended the line of fans wanting autographs was extremely long but the personnel and riders were there with smiles and an attitude that let the fans know they were glad they were there. Following the autograph session everyone enjoyed an evening of music by Brian Lumley and the Red Dirt Band. The band will be back on Saturday night for a repeat performance but for many it was an early night. Saturday would be a big day for all starting with the ever popular VIP Rodeo in the morning. The cowboys and cowgirls enjoy this as much as the special guest they entertain from various organizations in the community.

The final two rounds of competion begin tonight at 8 PM as the race comes into the final race for the finish line the action tonight promises to be intense.
