Rodeo clown marks 50 years in the business[Aug. 8, 2009] Rick Young of Tickfaw, Louisiana started his rodeo career as a clown and bullfighter in 1959. His natural humor, speed and agility plus his dynamic personality propelled him to the top of his profession. In the early years, Rick was known as the 'Ragin Cajun'. Now at the age of 66, yet still very active as a clown and barrel man, Rick claims to be the 'Aging Cajun'. By Scott Welton
Update on Chris Littlejohn[Jul. 13, 2009] Bull rider Chris Littlejohn has always seemed to be in an uphill battle, whether it was overcoming nearly a ton of bucking beast or other adversities that come along the rodeo trail. Now the four-time Wrangler National Finals Rodeo qualifier is continuing his battle, albeit from the Missouri Rehabilitation Center in Mt. Vernon, Mo., while trying to recover from one of the most serious accidents of his long and storied career. Littlejohn severely bruised his spine at a bull-riding event June 20 in Odessa, Mo.

Rodeo 'roughies' are as close as family[Jun. 21, 2009] COLUMBIA - In the back corner of the rodeo arena at the Boone County Fairgrounds there are metal and wooden chutes where the nastiest bucking broncs and bulls are held.
Trenton, Misssouri Roaring Success For Everyone[Jun. 2, 2009] Green Hills Women Shelter Annual Benefit Bull Riding Trenton, MO was once again a great success. The stands were full with fans enjoying top-notched bull riding while raising funds for a very worthy cause. Riders from the Bullriders Of America provided the talent while Double S Bull Company, Sidney, IA provided the bulls. In one round of competition followed by a short round of rank bulls it was Ty Redman who took home the championship. Ty scored 169 points on two bulls for a nice check of $928.13. Day 2 National Federation of Professional Bullriders Federation Finals[Apr. 4, 2009] The keyword Friday, April 3rd, at the Federation Finals was bullfighters. Bullfighters Bradon Brazier, Jeremy Muntz, and Andy Thmpson had a very busy day at the office. The riders were in top form but the bulls were completely on their game and it seemed ride after ride the bullfighters were jumping in to protect a downed rider. Pair of Aussies split Round 1 in Kansas City Professional Bull Riding[Mar. 8, 2009] Tune in for all of the non-stop action as the Kansas City Invitational concludes TODAY on VERSUS - KANSAS CITY, Mo. (March 7, 2009) - The 2009 Kansas City Invitational brought the top 40 bull riders in the world to the Show Me State for stop #13 on the elite Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) tour. In front of a sold-out Sprint Center crowd, Australian sensation Brendon Clark (Morpeth, AUS) and 2009 PBR Daisy Rookie of the Year contender Pete Farley (Kempsey, AUS) split the round one victory after each scored 87.75 points. Clark took on the bull, I’ll Make You Famous, owned by Kooper Branum & Gene Baker, while Farley rode Shad Smith’s bull, V1. St. LOUIS, Mo. (March 1, 2009) - The Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) took the top 40 bull riders in the world to the Show Me State for three performances of non-stop action on February 27-March 1. At stop #12 on the prestigious Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS), PBR fan favorite Wiley Petersen (Fort Hall, Idaho) left St. Louis’ Scottrade Center victorious after totaling 348 points on four bulls and took home the coveted Enterprise Rent-A-Car Invitational event title, pocketing a check for $33,953.40.
