Country DJ Deano Day to be celebrated
[Apr. 15, 2009] Detroit, MI - Deano Day, the longtime voice of country music on the Detroit airwaves, will be laid to rest today. The well-known DJ, 70, died Friday of complications after heart surgery.

Known as Uncle Deano to his listeners, Day was a four-time winner of Billboard magazine's best country disc jockey award and also a winner of the Country Music Association's DJ of the year award.
