Iowa cowgirl Rachel Burton represents the Hawkeye State this year as Miss Teen Rodeo Iowa 2008. She is the 19 year old daughter of Rowly and Deb Burton. Rachel has one older sister, Sarah. Rachel is a sophmore at Iowa State University majoring in animal science and agriculture education studies. Rachel is also one remarkable young lady! On Christmas Eve Day when most people were hurrying off to be with family and friends Rachel was making the long trip from her home to Indianola, Iowa. Why was she making a trip of well over 150 miles in less than favorable weather conditions? To make the day brighter for a group of special people. Rachel was the guest at a special Christmas party for the Genesis Development Discovery Program. She told them about her horses, rodeo and being a rodeo queen. She signed autographs and took pictures.

The whole gang!
