43rd Annual Tehachapi Mountain Rodeo[Aug. 28, 2006] The 43rd Annual Tehachapi Mountain Rodeo, sponsored by the Professional Rodeo Cowboy’s Association, along with first-time sponsor City Slickers and 15 other businesses, attracted record crowds over Tehachapi’s Mountain Festival weekend.

Hometown girl takes 2006 NCHA cutting horse championship[Aug. 28, 2006] Brittany Sigston competed at the Summer Quarter Horse Circuit of Santa Clara Valley, in Watsonville, held from July 20 to 23, where she competed in Youth Cutting.
It was a long four days, but with a total combined score of 250, Brittany made Circuit Champion and received a bronze National Cutting Horse Association trophy. Annual Norco rodeo draws 25,000 fans[Aug. 28, 2006] Bareback riders, steer wrestlers and bull riders made out with almost $40,000 in prize money during the 22nd annual Norco Mounted Posse PRCA Rodeo.
The event, held Friday through Sunday at Ingalls Park, drew 25,000 rodeo fans, said organizer Laura Eliassen.
