Riggin Phillips Gets First CBR Win In Window Rock, Arizona

Fort Worth, Texas (September 10, 2009) ~ It was a great night of bull riding in Window Rock, Arizona but it was the bulls who put on the big show tonight at the Navajo Nation CBR. Some of the best stock contractors on the circuit brought their best stock to Arizona and it was only a lucky few who were left standing in the money at the end. Riggin Phillips of McKinney, TX secured his first CBR win with a score of 171.5. Riggin was first up on the Mike Johnson bull Big Boss which he rode to a 85.5. He then drew McCrazy another Mike Johnson bull which gave him the (86).

New Mexico natives fared well in the long round with the two highest scores of the section. Guytin Tsosie scored a (90) on Gunslinger- Casper Baca, and Navajo native and 2008 CBR World Champion qualifier Spud Jones scored (89) on JR’s Jacket -Diedrich/Murphy (89).

Hugo Pedrero hangs on to his position in the CBR World Standings with two rides this evening and a second place finish. Brody-Casper Baca (86) and Heavens Gate- Owen and the Five Ladies (83).

CBR World Standings leader Jarrod Craig had the highest score of the evening with a 91 on Only The Good Die Young of McCloy Rodeo.

Bull of the event is Rio Grande, Martin Baca stock contractor, the score was 48.
