Carlisle Ranch Team Wins First County Ranch Rodeo[Sep. 27, 2006] Though only two teams were entered in the first Navajo County Ranch Rodeo, held Sept. 17 at the Navajo County Fair, spectators and participants alike deemed it a great success.

County Fair Rodeo Winners Are Noted[Sep. 27, 2006] Overall winners in the 2006 Navajo County Fair Rodeo, held Sept. 15 and 16, included Adam Tanner and Forrie Smith, who tied for first in bareback with 75 points each; Russell Sullivan, open calf roping, 9.53 seconds; Joe Grant, incentive calf roping, 11.52 seconds; breakaway, Sammie Jo White, 2.4 seconds; Fred Bitsui, saddle bronc, 73 points; CJ Aragon, steer wrestling, 4.18 seconds; Onie Ziegler-Anderson, barrel racing, 1D, 17.66 seconds; Leighanne Billingsley, incentive barrel racing, 2D, 18.43 seconds; header Russell Sullivan and heeler Levi Garcia, open team roping, 5.29 seconds; header Clint Wood and heeler Tammy Lewis, No. 12 team roping, 6.32 seconds; and Randall Watson, bullriding, 84 points. Five compete in rodeo finals[Aug. 23, 2006] Three Wickenburg High School Rodeo Team members and two Vulture Peak eighth grade students competed in the Arizona Junior Rodeo Association State Finals Aug. 4-6 at the Apache Gold Casino in Globe.
