Bull riders and bull riding fans in the Phoenix. AZ area check out The Buffalo Chip Saloon and Steak House in Cave Creek, AZ for both bull riding excitement and good home cooking! Take it from me it is the place where you can have a gold beer, a shot of whiskey and z mouth-watering steak. It is the place where peanuts are free by the bucket and you can just throw the shells on the floor. It is a place for young and old, married or single. At The Buffalo Chip the atmosphere is friendly and the down-home hospitality of owner, Larry Wendt, his manager, Helen and the rest of his staff will make each visit a wonderful experience In this day and age it is hard to find and a place that provides an old western experience so I feel I have made quite a find!

After enjoying the great home cooking there is dancing and on Friday nights – BULL RIDING! The bull riding begins at 8 PM. For you bull riders, call ins for the bull riding are held the Saturday before. But if you might be the area and didn't make the call ins it would not hurt to stop by and see if they have a spot open. They limit each event to 21 riders per night. On the last Friday I was there six spots were open but by the time the show started all 21 spots were filled. Stock contractor and chute boss is Cindi Smith and the events are part of the Dirt Tour Bull Riding. They pay four places each night with first paying over $500. A nice pay check whether you are just passing through or want to have fun locally.

You can learn more about this great entertainment spot at www.buffalochipsaloon.com or call 480-488-9188.

Bullriders the number for Cindi Smith and the Dirt Tour Bull Riding is 602-309-5754.

There will be a special bull riding on New Year’s Eve – see you there!
