Texas Rodeo Hall of Fame inductee....Don Endsley

Longtime PRCA rodeo announcer Don Endsley will be inducted into the Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame in Ft Worth, Texas next April 8-9, 2011held in Ft Worth. Don was the 'Voice' of many of the PRCA's top rodeos across the USA from the 70's thru the 90's. He announced at thousands of rodeos including Denver's Nat'l Western; Dodge City Round-Up; American Royal; West of the Pecos Rodeo; 20 years at the Santa Rosa Round-up and Woodward Elks Rodeo; 6-times Indian National Finals:Texas Circuit Finals; AJRA Finals; Dixie National: Heart of Texas Rodeo in Waco; Austin, Texas; New Mexico State Fair Rodeo; Ada pro Rodeo; Tops N' Texas Rodeo; Belton 4th July Rodeo and the list goes on and on." ...I was lucky enough to be at the rodeo 'Mic' in the time of some of rodeo's greatest Champions and colorful characters and most spectacular bucking bull and broncs. I was there when Charmayne won her first World title. I was there when Charlie Sampson, Don Gay and Roy Cooper made rodeo history. I was there when Denny Flynn made the highest score ever on Red Lightning. I had the best seat in the house.." I got to work for the Legendary producers and showmen like Tommy Steiner, Harry Vold, Bennie Beutler, Mike Cervi, Neal Gay and others. They knew how to put on the best rodeos in the country. I will always be thrilled to have been announcer for the last NFR held in Okla City..I feel it was a piece of rodeo History..." Don was also the 'voice' of the NCHA World Finals in Houston and NCHA Futurity in Ft Worth..and the roeo 'voice' in the Wrangler TV commercial with World Champion Ted Nuce as well as being commentator of some that era's rodeo telecast. "I am honored to be thought of after all this time....Thank you to everyone at the Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame..it is a special moment for me..."
Don and wife Sharon are owners and creators of the 'Great American Wild West Show' a traveling Western spectacular. Earlier this year Don and Sharon were awarded the 'Cowboy Keeper' award form the National Day of the Cowboy organization.
After living over 20 years in Texas the Endsleys now live in Branson, Missouri.
Their son Tim is a calf roper and horse trainer.
