Brazile dominates first night of National Finals Steer Roping[Nov. 3, 2007] HOBBS, N.M. - Trevor Brazile knew he needed a big first night at the $195,000 National Finals Steer Roping to have a chance at defending his world championship and wasn't about to let a little thing like competing on a new horse get in the way.
Bareback rider Murray rebounds in rodeo[Oct. 26, 2007] Dustin Murray is making up for lost time in the rodeo arena. Murray, a two-time Prairie Circuit bareback riding champion from Midwest City, Okla., missed much of the 2007 season after having elbow surgery in April. He started back to competition only a couple of months ago, but he’s already in top form after winning the first two rounds of the Prairie Circuit Finals Rodeo during the American Royal at Kemper Arena.
Top rodeo talent a big draw for fans all over[Sep. 28, 2007] Big bucks and bucking broncs are bringing some of the world's biggest cowboy and cowgirl stars and fans to Omaha this week for Ak-Sar-Ben's annual River City Roundup rodeo.
Champions crowned at Ariat Playoffs[Sep. 10, 2007] Sherrylynn Johnson knew she needed a big win at the Ariat Playoffs in Puyallup, Wash., if she wanted to compete alongside her husband, tie-down roper Mike Johnson, at the Ariat Playoffs in Omaha, Neb., at the end of the month.

Barrel racer's sweep at Puyallup earns $18,596, ticket to round three of Ariat Playoffs[Sep. 10, 2007] If you are a rodeo contestant from Henryetta, Okla. – Jim Shoulders’ hometown – there is a certain expectation of toughness and Sherrylynn Johnson more than lived up to that in the second round of the Ariat Playoffs at the Western Washington Fairgrounds.
Despite suffering with a painful bout of kidney stones, Johnson swept all four rounds of the barrel racing competition at the Puyallup Pro Rodeo, capping the weekend with a 14.97 second run in Sunday’s finals to edge Canadian Lindsay Sears by six-hundredths of a second. By Courtesy PRCA
