The Red Bluff (Calif.) Roundup, entering its 87th year, plays host to the 10th stop on the 26-venue Wrangler ProRodeo Tour this weekend. The annual rodeo begins on Friday, April 18 and culminates with the final round on Sunday, April 20.
Just days ago, the Grand National Rodeo wrapped up its seven-performance rodeo near San Francisco.
In Red Bluff, cowboys and cowgirls will not only compete for part of a purse that exceeded $230,000 in 2007, but points that apply toward the Wrangler ProRodeo Tour standings and entry into the Ariat Playoffs series, an exciting four-rodeo showdown starting in August in Caldwell, Idaho.
. Red Bluff, a venue on the Wrangler Tour since its inception in 2000, is located 130 miles north of Sacramento, California’s capital city.
