Cowtown Rodeo opener highlights Memorial Day Weekend[May 19, 2008] When Memorial Day weekend rolls around, it’s time for another of one of ProRodeo's great traditions to start another year of fun and entertainment in the Mid-Atlantic region. On May 24, the Cowtown Rodeo in Pilesgrove, N.J., starts its 54th season as the country’s longest-running Saturday night rodeo.

Bullfighter Chris Mason to be honored on May 24th[May 19, 2008] Among the many Memorial Day celebrations around the country to honor fallen soldiers, one will have particular resonance for bullfighters and bull riders: the laying of a memorial wreath at the Mobile, AL, grave of PRCA bullfighter-turned-paratrooper Chris Mason. He was a Marine Corps corporal who died fighting in Iraq in November 2006.
'Smart' start for Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association Bull Rider[May 19, 2008] Here's an indication of bull rider Chance Smart's unbelievable and unprecedented start to the 2008 ProRodeo season: he watched B.J. Schumacher win the $50,000 Shootout Round at RodeoHouston but still held an advantage of nearly $52,000 over the second-ranked and 2005 World Bull Riding Champion in the Crusher Rentals PRCA World Standings the following week.
