It's not the mammoth resorts or the desert weather...No, for Griswold - one of the elite saddle bronc riders in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association for 19 years – his December venture to Las Vegas is the culmination of another tremendous year riding bucking horses. Pro Rodeo Mounrs the Death of Nancy Vold[Sep. 30, 2008] Nancy Kay Vold, part of one of Pro Rodeo's most legendary families, died on September. 26 due to complications from diabetes. She was 48. Some still trying for extra push as season finishes[Sep. 25, 2008] The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association regular season all but concludes this weekend...All money earned at PRCA rodeos through the end of the month counts toward qualifying for the Dec. 4-13 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas. But beginning Oct. 1, winnings count toward the 2009 world title races.
Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association - Looking to the future[Sep. 23, 2008] Part one of two with new head of PRCA - The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association recently announced the hiring of Karl Stressman, formerly the director of event marketing for Wrangler Jeans and Shirts, as the new president and CEO of PRCA Properties and interim CEO of the PRCA. The position, which has rarely seen a consistent presence as of late, is one fraught with the challenges of bringing the organization back to life after recent and ongoing turmoil.
Fox Sports Network (FSN) currently featuring the Wrangler ProRodeo Tour - Ariat Playoffs Puyallup Round[Sep. 22, 2008] Fox Sports Net (FSN) is scheduled to begin televising the action from the Puyallup (Wash.) Fair and Rodeo as the second stop on the 2008 Wrangler ProRodeo Tour and Ariat Playoffs the week of Sept. 22. The first episode will feature the preliminary round action of the Ariat Playoffs - Puyallup Round, with the second telecast showcasing the semifinal round featuring the top eight in the two-head aggregate and the third telecast will feature the final four competitors. .A new episode will air weekly...A total of 18 regional FSN providers will televise the first round action at least once between Sept. 22 and Sept. 25. Barton to be PRCA announcer at NFR[Sep. 4, 2008] Derek Barton will be heard around the world this December. ...The local KYCN Morning host and PRCA announcer formally or Buffalo and now living in Wheatland, along with PRCA Announcer, Steve Kenyon of Oregon, will be the official voices for the internet and radio broadcasters for this year’s Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (NFR) in Las Vegas.

Manuel Henry Enos[Aug. 12, 2008] In 1939, Manuel joined the Cowboys Turtle Association, the forerunner of the PRCA. Manuel was proud of the fact that he placed in every major rodeo in the country and that he usually entered four events.
