50th Anniversary of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo DVD Being Shipped
[Feb. 6, 2009] ProRodeo Films announced today that the 2008 WNFR DVD is now available for immediate shipping. If you have not already ordered your copy, there is a limited number of DVDs left. Once they sell out, they will not be re-duplicated. If you have already placed your order, your DVD should be arriving in the next 10 days.

DeMers continues his confident streak at SandHills Rodeo
[Jan. 3, 2009] Cody DeMers has spent forever, it seems, away from rodeo's biggest stage, the National Finals Rodeo.

Last year, he struggled early, then steamrolled through the end of the season to miss the championship by one position, finishing 16th in a sport where the top 15 in each event qualify. Wrangler National Finals Rodeo creates priceless memories for athletes
[Dec. 19, 2008] World champion rodeo athletes aren’t given bonus checks for winning their prestigious titles, but the gold buckles, memories, and lofty status in the rodeo world are priceless compared to their paychecks. Those checks totaled over $5.6 million for the 119 competitors at the 50th Wrangler National Finals Rodeo WNFR). Rodeo fans totaling 17,898 at the Thomas and Mack Arena in Las Vegas plus thousands of television and internet listeners cheered as the rodeo world crowned the athletes who rose to the top at the end of the 10-day competition held Dec. 4-13.

POWELL FINISHES SEASON ON A HIGH NOTE
[Dec. 17, 2008] The rodeo season always has its ups and downs, but for PRCA team roper Turtle Powell, the season ended on a high note.

Powell earned his spot into the 2008 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo at the final stop of the season, the Ariat Playoff Tour Finale in Dallas, TX. Powell was on the bubble to qualify for one of the fifteen spots allowed to compete at the WNFR in Las Vegas, but earning enough at the Dallas event confirmed his place. Tyson Durfey finishes second at NFR, pockets nearly $84,000
[Dec. 14, 2008] Over 10 nights in the Nevada desert, Tyson Durfey of Colbert, Wash., made more money than a lot of folks earn in a year.

It wasn’t the gaming tables that paid off the Savannah, Mo.-born tie-down roper, but the National Finals Rodeo at the Thomas & Mack Center, where the 24-year-old Durfey placed in six of 10 go-rounds in the championship of ProRodeo. By Ted Harbin
