LaValley and DeMoss win Checks at Reno Rodeo[Jun. 25, 2010] RENO, Nev.—June 24, 2010 – Dusty LaValley and Heith DeMoss are the first rough stock riders to get checks at the Reno Rodeo.
The first round was complete in bareback riding and saddle bronc riding was completed here on Thursday night. LaValley, from Bezanson, Alberta, rode Flying Five Rodeo’s Wind Chimes for 83 points to win the round in bareback. He got a check for $3,429 and because he had a 79 in the second round, he also leads over-all and will have a chance to ride for the championship here on Saturday night. By Susan Kanode
