The pressure was off when he only had to beat 19.3 seconds, he said. The Stephenville, Texas, native has never roped for this kind of money before and thanked RodeoHouston after his big win. âI just had a real good calf and I knew I was going to catch it,â he said. RODEOHOUSTON(tm) BP SUPER SERIES SEMIFINAL 2 MOVES MORE CONTESTANTS TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP[Mar. 20, 2009] MARCH 20, 2009 â HOUSTON â Final results of the RodeoHouston BP Super Series Semifinal 2 sends 28 more hopeful contestants on to the Championship and a chance at $50,000.
Randall Carlisle roped his way into the Championship with a first place time of 8.2 seconds. âI really donât get excited about much,â the tie-down roper said. âIf I win that $50,000, Iâll get excited.â Carlisle is joined by Scott Kormos, Ryan Watkins and Brad Goodrich in Saturdayâs Championship.
Kelly Timberman held on for 8 seconds in the bareback riding to earn the spot with a score of 83 points. âYou have to put all your hard work into one package and give âer hell,â he said. Clint Cannon, Bobby Mote and Cody DeMers also will ride in the Bareback Riding Championship. By Merry Leonard
Pros Master Consistency AdVANCING TO RodeoHouston⢠BP SUPER SERIES SEMIFINAL rounds[Mar. 20, 2009] rad Goodrich grabbed the Tie-Down Roping top spot, with earnings of $5,500. For the Oregon native, Houston is a familiar routine, as he said he has competed more than 18 times in Houston. Although semi-retired, Goodrich is still looking to make additions to his resume, and the RodeoHouston BP Super Series Championship would do just that for him. By Merry Leonard
