[Jul. 4, 2009] BELLE FOURCHE, S.D. --- After two nights of bulls besting cowboys, the July 4th performance of the Belle Fourche Round Up finally saw two scores, and they both won in their home state of South Dakota.

Rorey Maier from Timber Lake, left here atop the leaderboard with an 89-point effort aboard DH&T Rodeo’s Surefire. It was worth $2,559 that will count towards Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association world standings and Badlands Circuit points. Tater Hins from Huron, was close behind with an 85 on Powder River Rodeo’s Fired Up. He got $1,962. Because these men were the only two to ride, they also got to split the rest of the prize money. The additional $2,004 doesn’t count in the standings, but will certainly help their checkbooks.
