DULUTH, Ga. – Do you want to see what the fuss is all about?

For years, the talk of the sport has been protection bullfighting competitions, whereby talented athletes are judged and scored on how well they do their jobs. This weekend, the Professional Bullfighters Daisy Protection Bullfight World Championships presented by Mann Creek Buck-N-Bulls are taking place at the Gwinnett Center in conjunction with the Copenhagen Bull Riding Tour Championship presented by Dickies.

It will all be part of the Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough Series, which is nationally televised. This weekend’s performances will air at 11 p.m. Saturday and 7 p.m. Sunday on the Versus network. All times are Eastern.

That’s where you’ll see talented hands like Dusty Tuckness of Meeteetse, Wyo., and Andy Burelle of Ardmore, Okla., the reigning PBF Daisy Protection Tour World Champions. They’re not only the defending champs, they’re the No. 1 team in the field of elite bullfighters. After Friday’s opening performance, the pair representing Team Mann Creek Buck-N-Bulls extended its lead in the year-end standings by winning the first go-round.

How will they do in Round 2?

What about Sunday’s show?

This is your chance to see these fantastic and talented athletes in action and why they’ve earned their way to compete in the World Championships. For years, bullfighters earned their living one rodeo at a time as contract personnel. They were hired to keep everyone in the arena safe during bull riding.

But with the PBF’s competition, these dedicated athletes carry those skills into another avenue. They pony up entry fees and only walk away from the arena with a paycheck if they’ve placed high enough in the rounds and/or the average to do so.

Not only will they serve as a life insurance policy for the best bull riders in the world throughout the Copenhagen Bull Riding Challenger Tour Championship, they will also compete for world champion points while facing foes capable of ending a career or a life.

At each stop, they put it all on the line protecting bull riders to qualify in one of the top five positions of the Daisy Protection World Championships. The PBF World Championships is a perfect fit for the heart-stopping action that is synonymous with the PBR’s levels of competition, including its premier tour, the Built Ford Tough Series.
