In 1992, Jim Sharp and 19 fellow bull riders decided to buck the pro rodeo system and invest $1,000 each to form their own bull riding-only tour.
This spring, Sharp was one of the original investors who sold their stock in Professional Bull Riders Inc. to a private equity firm in New York.
