PBR riding high in the Midwest[Mar. 19, 2007] Justin McBride of Elk City, Okla., the top-ranked cowboy in the field, and he has a special incentive to do well in Nebraska's biggest city — he was born, raised and began riding bucking animals in the sandhills of western Nebraska.
What's next, a cage match?[Mar. 18, 2007] The lights were down, the music cranked up, and 8,700 fans cheered as the big screen showcased the contenders.
"They have what it takes," an ominous, gravelly voice thundered through the darkened Tacoma Dome on Sunday. “They know this game. They love this game. And they want to win.”
An intro for the rough-and-tumble riders at the Professional Bull Riders event? Nope. It was a video homage to the bulls, or “animal athletes,” they ride.
