ALBANY, N.Y. (January 27, 2008) - The Professional Bull Riders Inc. (PBR) brought the elite Built Ford Tough Series presented by Wrangler (BFTS) back to the East Coast this weekend with the Albany Invitational in Albany, N.Y. Fans at the Times Union Center were enthralled when the world’s best bull riders set a new record for the number of scored rides with 30 total rides in Sunday afternoon’s long round. The domination of the world’s toughest bulls continued in the Built Ford Tough Championship Round when there were eight total rides with six of them receiving scores of 90 points or higher. Travis Briscoe (Edgewood, N.M.) continued to be the story of the young season when he claimed the event championship with 267.5 points on three bulls. He won $58,425 in PBR bucks to take his already impressive season earnings to $204,108.67. The win marks Briscoe’s third 2008 season title and fourth career win.
