PUEBLO, Colo. (February 28, 2009) - The Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) hosted the world’s best bull riders at St. Louis’ Scottrade Center for round two of the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Invitational. On stop #12 on the prestigious Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS), Brazilian superstar and Team Enterprise rider Renato Nunes (Buritama, SP, Brazil) took the round two victory with an 88.5 point ride on Jeff Robinson Bucking Bulls’ Optimist Prime---a bull he picked in the second round draft held earlier in the day. Nunes pocketed a check for $2,730.
Taking second place was Pete Farley (Kemsey, AUS) who scored 88.25 points on the bull, Far West, owned by Martinez Bucking Bulls, LLC. 2008 PBR World Champion Guilherme Marchi (Leme, SP, Brazil) took third place after riding the bull, Lil’ Wicked (Chad Berger/Clay Struve), for 88 points while young gun Cody Ford (Stanfield, Ore.) rode the bull, Black Jack, owned by Circle T Ranch & Rodeo, for 87.75 points.
Due to his round one win at last night’s Enterprise Rent-A-Car Invitational, PBR superstar J.B. Mauney (Mooresville, N.C.) was eligible to compete for the $5,000 Enterprise Rent-A-Car “Ride with the Best” bonus during round two of the St. Louis event. Mauney did not make the whistle on the bull, Bad Action; therefore, the stock contractors, Chad Berger/Slay Struve, took home the $5,000 bonus.
