PUEBLO, Colo. (February 23, 2009) - On February 27-March 1, the Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) tour invades St. Louis, Mo., for the thirteenth consecutive year. For three thrilling performances, the top 40 bull riders in the world will compete for the coveted Enterprise Rent-A-Car Invitational title, the 12th event on the prestigious tour. The Scottrade Center will play host to the world’s best riders and bulls on Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 6:50 p.m., and on Sunday at 2 p.m.
With tickets starting at as little as $10 and increasing to $15, $25, $50, and $100, PBR fans, new and old, will not only see the toughest athletes on earth, they will also experience more than two hours of edge-of-your-seat thrills and spills, rock & roll music, and pyrotechnics. Riders expected to be in St. Louis are home state bull riders Matt Bohon (Cole Camp, Mo.) and Luke Snyder (Raymore, Mo.) who is competing in his 246th consecutive event on the BFTS tour. Also in attendance will be 2008 PBR World Champion Guilherme Marchi (Leme, SP, Brazil); two-time PBR World Champ Chris Shivers (Jonesville, La.); current #1 bull rider in the world J.B. Mauney (Mooresville, N.C.); PBR superstars Mike White (De Kalb, Texas), Ryan Dirteater (Hulbert, Okla.), and Kasey Hayes (Liberal, Kan.); and fan favorites Cord McCoy (Tupelo, Okla.), Ross Coleman (Molalla, Ore.), and Wiley Petersen (Fort Hall, Idaho).
The Enterprise Rent-A-Car Invitational will consist of four rounds of competition with the first three rounds featuring the top 40 bull riders randomly matched against the PBR’s toughest bulls. The scores from the three rides will be combined and the riders with the top 15 scores will advance to the Built Ford Tough Championship Round after intermission on Sunday. In the end, the cowboy with the highest total score on four bulls will be declared the winner!
Don’t miss any of the action from St. Louis when it airs on VERSUS. PBR will air LIVE on VERSUS on Saturday, February 28 at 8 p.m. EST while the conclusion of the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Invitational will air on VERSUS on Sunday, March 1 at 8p.m. EST.
