North Carolina Man Makes It Two in a Row![Sep. 21, 2008] The Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) made its way to Jacksonville, Fla., for the Built Ford Tough Shootout, the 28th stop on the elite Built Ford Tough Series presented by Wrangler (BFTS) tour. Fans were treated to two action-packed performances of exciting rides and wrecks at Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena. When the dust settled, J.B. Mauney (Mooresville, N.C.) found himself in the winner’s circle for the second weekend in a row and added $28,958 to his pocketbook. By Jodie Edmonds, PBR
Colorado Superstar Takes Round One in Jacksonville PBR![Sep. 20, 2008] The Professional Bull Riders’ (PBR) Built Ford Tough Series presented by Wrangler (BFTS) took Jacksonville, Fla., by storm as the top 45 bull riders in the world invaded the Jacksonville Veteran’s Memorial Arena for stop #28 on the elite tour. Number three bull rider in the world Kody Lostroh (Longmont, Colo.) took The Built Ford Tough Shootout round one victory after riding Chance, owned by Teague Bucking Bulls, LLC, for 90 points. PBR Guthrie Team Shootout Results are In![Sep. 18, 2008] The fourth and final stop before the team PBR Shootout Finals was filled with excitement in Guthrie, Okla., where crowds were treated to several of the world’s top bull riders. Team Lee consisting of 2004 PBR World Champion Mike Lee (Decatur, Texas) and 2007 PBR World Finals Champion Wiley Petersen (Fort Hall, Idaho) took the famed Lazy E Arena by storm to earn a slot in the PBR Team Shootout Finals in Pueblo, Colo. 2008 PBR World Cup First Night Results Are In!!![Aug. 17, 2008] The first night of the 2008 PBR World Cup, held in the Cowboy Capitol of Mexico, Chihuahua, provided plenty of action for the packed crowd in the Manuel Bernardo Aguirre Gymnasium. Finishing in first place was Team Canada with a total score of 426.5 points; Team USA ended in second for the evening with 353.5 points; 2007 World Cup Champions, Team Brazil, in third with 340.25 points; home country bull riders, Team Mexico, finished in fourth with 244.25 points; and rounding out fifth was Team Australia with 88.25 points.
