Wild West Festival

PUEBLO, Colo. (March 10, 2009) - The Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) is thrilled to announce that football legend John Elway will be the Grand Marshall for the 1st annual Wild Wild West Fest Parade presented by United Way on Saturday, May 16. The parade and festival are being held in conjunction with the PBR’s elite Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) event, the Ford F-150 Invitational presented by Copenhagen Bull Riding.

“I am looking forward to coming to Pueblo and spending some time there as well as being a part of the Wild Wild West Fest Parade,” Elway stated. “I am proud to be a part of the Professional Bull Riders and what they have done. I respect the cowboys and what they do.”

National Football League (NFL) Hall of Famer Elway is a PBR shareholder who is still revered as being one of the best NFL quarterbacks of all time. He holds many records, one of these being 148 games won as a starting quarterback, as well as holding the record of being a 5-time Super Bowl starting quarterback.

The Wild Wild West Fest is a western-themed festival hosted by the PBR, Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce, HARP, and the community of Pueblo on May 13-17. Admission to the festival is FREE and profits generated by the activities will go directly back to the participating non-profit organizations involved. The festival will feature activities for the entire family and will be hosted by community non-profit organizations and the Wild Wild West Fest Committee. Some of the events include a parade, the PBR Fan Zone, the 2009 Ring of Honor Ceremony & Concert, carnival rides, team roping and barrel racing competitions, pancake breakfasts, and much more.

The festival will culminate with the PBR’s BFTS event where the world’s best bull riders will invade Pueblo, Colo., home of the PBR Headquarters, and take on the rankest bulls the PBR has to offer. Tickets are on-sale NOW and for additional information and a complete list of activities, please visit www.pbrnow.com or www.wildwildwestfest.com.

Don’t miss out on any of the action at the 2009 Built Ford Tough World Finals in Las Vegas, Nev. The world-class event will take place on Oct. 30-Nov 1 and Nov. 5-8 at the Thomas & Mack Center---get your tickets NOW at 866.PBR.SHOW or unlvtickets.com.
