MANDAN, N.D. (June 22, 2010) - Chad Berger said that Code Blue “seems to be a little better this morning.”
The reigning World Champion Bull was pulled from competition last weekend at a Touring Pro event in Bismarck, N.D., after Berger noticed he didn’t seem “right” getting off the truck. Later that evening, during the introductions, the veteran contractor noted that the bull was having trouble maintaining his balance when he turned.
Monday morning, Berger was concerned Code Blue had possibly pinched a nerve in his back. Today, however, he said, “He seems to have a little better control of himself, so we’re still debating on taking him to Colorado yet or not.”
Berger may take the bull to Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, where he would be examined by specialists at the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
According to the CSU Web site, their Professional Veterinary Medical Program is ranked in the Top 3 in the nation.
“He looks a little better today,” said Berger on Tuesday afternoon. “We’ll see what tomorrow brings, but he looks like he’s getting around better today.
“As long as he’s getting better, I’d just as soon hold off until he gets better. I’d hate just to put a 700-mile haul on him and make him worse.”
