UNCASVILLE, Conn. (July 22, 2010) - The Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) announced that tickets for the Mohegan Sun Invitational presented by Cooper Tires will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
The elite Built Ford Tough Series event will be Oct. 1-3 at the Mohegan Sun Arena. Tickets begin at $15 and can be purchased at the Mohegan Sun Arena box office, www.ticketmaster.com and by telephone at (800) 745-3000. Bull riding begins at 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 1, 7:50 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 2 and 12 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 3.
There will be three rounds of the Top 40 bull riders matched against the top bulls in the PBR. The scores from the three rides will be combined, and the Top 15 riders will advance to the Built Ford Tough Championship Round following intermission on Sunday afternoon, where they will compete with one more bull. The rider with the highest total score after the championship round will be declared the winner.
The PBR is having the deepest title race in history with nine lead changes and six different riders on top of the BFTS standings and 15 different winners through the first 21 events. The Mohegan Sun Invitational will be the second to the last event of the regular season as riders battle to qualify for the 2010 PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals on Oct. 20-24 in Las Vegas and the chance to win $1 million.
