
Duluth, GA (November 21, 2009) - Travis Briscoe (Edgewood, NM) took home the Round 2 win of the Challenger Tour Finals and is $20,000 richer after staying on his second bull of the weekend. Briscoe rode D&H Cattle Company’s bull, The Juice, for 88.5 points, the highest score of the weekend, so far. Renato Nunes (Buritama, SP, Brazil) came in with a close second on Jeffrey Scott’s Buckle Man, of Jeff Robinson/Pinnacle Bull Group, for 87.5 points and $10,000.
Robson Palermo (Rio Branco, Acre, Brazil) won third place with 87.25 points on the bull Wow from Homestead Genetics/Something Special, while Georgia local, Sean Willingham (Sommerville, Ga.), placed fourth with 87 points on D&H Cattle Company’s bull, Slinger’s Back.
There was a three-way tie for 5th, 6th and 7th place between Guillherme Marchi (Leme, SP, Brazil), Dustin Elliott (North Platte, Neb.) and LJ Jenkins (Texico, NM). Marchi scored 86.75 points on Walton & Wagoner Bucking Bulls,’ Carolina Cat; Elliot rode for 86.75 points on Jeff Robinson / Pinnacle Bull Group’s Backyard bull, Big Rig; and Jenkins got 86.75 points on Range War from Circle T Ranch & Rodeo.
Only the Top 40 riders will compete on Sunday in Round 3 of the Challenger Tour Finals presented by Dickies, starting at 2:00pm EST. Among some of the riders that made the cut were two-time World Champion Chris Shivers, “Titanium Tough” veteran Luke Snyder, and Canadian superstar Aaron Roy. Tune-in to VERSUS on Sunday, November 22 at 7:00pm EST to catch all of the action.

Thaigo Paguioto (Itajobi, SP, Brazil) has a chest contusion and is probable for Round 3.
Travis Sellers (Wentzville, MO) is questionable for Round 3, pending x-rays for a neck injury.
