
PUEBLO, Colo. (August 3, 2009) - The Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) is excited to announce that for the first time ever, PBR.tv will be providing coverage from a PBR Challenger Tour event. PBR.tv will be providing an exclusive broadcast of the 5th Annual Ross Coleman Invitational, held in Molalla, Ore., on August 7-8. The event is one of the most prestigious Challenger events in the PBR calendar and has been named the PBR Sanctioned Event of the Year twice.
Coverage will be on an On-Demand, Pay-Per-View basis, available for viewers and fans with Friday night’s performance available starting on August 8 and Saturday’s performance available on August 9. The broadcasts will include EVERY ride with cowboys like 2004 PBR World Champion Mike Lee (Decatur, Texas); riders in the top 10 of the World Standings such as J.B. Mauney (Mooresville, N.C.), Zack Brown (Santa Fe, Texas), and Renato Nunes (Buritama, SP, Brazil); and PBR veterans Sean Willingham (Summerville, Ga.), Cord McCoy (Tupelo, Okla.), and Luke Snyder (Raymore, Mo.). The Ross Coleman Invitational started as a community fundraiser to help Coleman’s best friend, Jack Peterkin, win his battle against cancer. They have donated over $400,000 to local civic groups and various non-profits in the past four years, giving over $127,000 to Make-A-Wish Foundation of Oregon alone. In 2008, Ross Coleman received the prestigious Katie Star Award from Make-A-Wish Foundation of Oregon for his commitment to the mission of granting wishes to local children with life-threatening medical conditions. The Ross Coleman Invitational is also the winner of the Oregon Festival & Events Association 2008 Sporting Event of the Year.
Activities include a charity golf tournament, kick-off party, Silent & Live Auction, Motocross Exhibition from Team Metal Mulisha, and autograph signings with fan favorite bull riders.
