Winston-Salem Invitational

Winston-Salem, N.C. (February 3, 2010) - The Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) heads up the East Coast to North Carolina for the Winston-Salem Invitational presented by Troy-Built! The PBR is bringing the world’s Top 40 bull riders to the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Friday, February 5th at 8:00pm and Saturday, February 6th at 7:50pm for two action-packed nights only!

For as little as $10, PBR fans new and old will get to see the toughest athletes on earth, more than two hours of edge-of-your-seat thrills and spills, rock and roll music, and pyrotechnics. Tickets can be purchased at the Lawrence Joel Veteran’s Memorial Coliseum Box Office, www.ticketmaster.com, or by phone at 336 722 6400 (standard ticket fees may apply).

During these two nights of heart-pounding, bone-crushing action, fans will get up close and personal with hometown cowboy and current Built Ford Tough Series No. 2 ranked J.B. Mauney (Mooresville, N.C.), North Carolina locals Brian Canter (Randleman, N.C.) and Shane Proctor (West Coulee, Wash.); 2009 World Champion Kody Lostroh (Longmont, Colo.); current Built Ford Tough Series No. 1 ranked rider Travis Briscoe (Edgewood, N.M.), and fan favorites Ryan McConnel (Colgate, Okla.) and Wiley Peterson (Fort Hall, Idaho).

The Winston-Salem Invitational presented by Troy-Built will consist of three rounds of competition, with the first three rounds featuring the Top 40 bull riders matched against the PBR’s rankest bulls. The scores from the three rides will be combined and the riders with the top 15 scores will advance to the Built Ford Tough Championship Round after intermission on Saturday. In the end, the cowboy with the highest total score on four bulls will be declared the winner!

The PBR is the premiere bull riding organization in the world, boasting contestants from the United States, Mexico, Australia, Brazil, and Canada. One of the fastest growing sports in the country, PBR’s events air weekly on VERSUS, NBC, CBS, and FOX.
